How to choose a price indicating strip
Begin with the physical shelf and the information customers need to read. A few clear measurements and photographs make it easier to identify a suitable profile and prepare a useful quotation.

Flat face · Shaped lip · Wire edge 01Identify the mounting surface
Look at the shelf from the side. Identify a flat face, shaped lip, wire edge or existing track before choosing the fixing.
Details to include in your enquiry
Look at the shelf edge from the side as well as the front. Record whether it has a flat face, a shaped lip, a wire edge or an existing track. These details help distinguish between adhesive profiles, clip-on options and holders that depend on a particular attachment.
If you are replacing a strip, photograph both the fitted product and a loose section. Include the fixture make or model if you know it. Do not assume that two profiles with similar front faces attach in the same way.

Strip length · Profile size · Label size 02Separate the measurements
Record strip length, outside profile dimensions and printed label size separately. They are different measurements.
Details to include in your enquiry
Record the strip length, the outside profile dimensions and the size of the printed label as separate items. Catalogue width is not automatically the same as the usable label height. If the label must fit an existing print template, attach an example or its dimensions.
- Measure the usable shelf run, including any interruptions.
- Show the attachment shape and relevant edge thickness.
- Note whether one continuous strip or several shorter pieces are needed.

Ambient or chilled · Cleaning · Handling 03Explain the operating conditions
Tell us where the holder will be used and how the shelf is cleaned. Material, adhesive and temperature suitability need confirmation.
Details to include in your enquiry
Tell Springlok whether the fixture is in an ambient aisle, a chilled display or another environment. Describe cleaning routines and any handling concerns so suitability can be checked. Material, adhesive and temperature requirements should be confirmed for the particular product.
Finish the brief with colour, quantity, delivery destination and required date. For a large rollout, request a sample assessment before finalising the full specification.
