Build the project brief around the real application

These application briefs show how to organise a requirement for Springlok. They are starting points for discussion, rather than accounts of completed customer projects.

Measuring a clear price strip and label before a retail rollout

Price strip replacement and retail rollouts

A price strip programme starts with the fixture. Identify each shelf type, the required profile, label dimensions, strip lengths and quantities. For several stores, add a store-by-store schedule and indicate whether the project replaces existing strips or equips new fixtures.

Include reference photographs and any colour requirements. If several shelf systems are involved, separate them in the brief so fit can be assessed for each. Agree the proposed specification before extending it across the programme.

Sign holder, clips and hanging fittings arranged with an assembly sketch

Point-of-sale display assemblies

For a display that combines sign holders, clips, hanging parts or other catalogue accessories, show how the pieces work together. A sketch or photograph of the intended assembly can reveal connection details that separate product images miss.

State the display location, materials being joined, quantities and any essential dimensional requirements. Use the enquiry to identify what is already defined and what needs development.

Fastener dimensions measured with calipers and a thread gauge

Industrial component requirements

A fastener brief should describe the connection, relevant dimensions and required material or finish. Include drawings and the mating-part details, especially where a replacement must match an existing assembly.

Pool hooks and anchor plate alongside measuring tools

Pool accessory identification

For pool-net components, provide the existing system reference, installed photographs and relevant measurements. Compatibility needs to be assessed in the context of the system rather than inferred from an isolated product image.

Springlok supply schedule with price strips, bolts and pool fittings

One schedule, clear priorities

Across all three divisions, include quantities, destination and the required date. If the programme has phases, identify which items are needed first and which specifications remain open for review.
