Make colour and size part of a clear specification
A well-defined option request helps separate catalogue selections from requirements that need assessment. Use the choices shown on the product page as your starting point and explain anything additional in the enquiry.

Catalogue options are the starting point 01Choose a listed option first
Choose the size and colour listed for the product. When the catalogue says colours vary, ask the team to confirm your requirement.
Details to include in your enquiry
Product pages show the dimensions and colours supported by their catalogue source. Where more than one size is listed, select the option that matches your requirement. Where a source says colours vary, that does not establish a complete standard colour range.
If a colour or dimension is essential, state it clearly in the quotation request. Springlok will confirm the proposed specification and whether there are any minimum quantities, sample requirements or other conditions.

Name the dimension you need to change 02Describe a custom requirement precisely
Record each dimension by name. Add drawings, samples or photographs where a custom size or a matching component needs review.
Details to include in your enquiry
For price indicating strips, distinguish profile width from cut length and printed label size. For fasteners, identify the relevant thread, hole, grip or overall dimensions. For pool-net components, include the existing component reference and its mating parts where available.
- Use millimetres and label every dimension.
- Provide a drawing, sample or reference photograph.
- Describe the required colour using a physical reference or recognised code if available.
- List quantities for each size and colour separately.

Compare physical samples before approval 03Approve the actual specification
Use physical samples when a colour match matters. Confirm the final specification and quantities before approving supply.
Details to include in your enquiry
Screen colours and photographs are useful references, but they are not a controlled colour sample. If matching matters to a retail programme, discuss an appropriate sample review before approving the quantity required.
A custom enquiry is a request for assessment. It does not mean that every combination can be supplied. Keep the agreed dimensions, colour reference and product description together in the final quotation so repeat enquiries use the same information.
