Measure the shelf, the strip and the label separately
The most useful measurements explain both what customers see and how the strip attaches. Keep each dimension clearly labelled so a quoted profile can be checked against the actual fixture.

Length and quantity, recorded separately 01Capture the length you need
Measure the usable shelf length and note brackets or breaks. Give each different length its own quantity.
Details to include in your enquiry
Measure the usable section of shelf where the strip will sit. Note breaks, brackets, end features or other obstructions. If several shelf lengths are involved, list each required length with its own quantity rather than combining everything into one total.
For replacement work, measure the existing strip as well as the shelf. A strip may have been cut shorter than the available run, so explain which measurement describes your preferred result. Use millimetres consistently throughout the brief.

Show the end profile and mounting face 02Show the profile from the side
Photograph the end of the holder and its mounting surface. Include a ruler beside the profile without hiding the fixing.
Details to include in your enquiry
Take a clear photograph looking along the end of the strip. This view helps reveal folds, lips, clips and attachment points that disappear in a front photograph. Include a ruler beside the part without covering the feature you want to show.
- Overall height or width of the profile.
- Relevant shelf-edge thickness or wire diameter.
- Depth and shape of any locating lip or track.
- Position of adhesive or attachment features, if visible.

Printed ticket and access to the pocket 03Check the printed insert
Measure the paper insert separately and check how it is replaced. Mention any existing label template the holder must accommodate.
Details to include in your enquiry
Measure the actual paper or card label separately. State whether the design must work with an established label template and whether easy replacement is important to the application. Springlok can use these details to check the proposed product rather than relying on an assumed ticket size.
For uncertain profiles, a physical sample or a dimensioned sketch may be more informative than additional photographs. Include the quantity, colour and destination when submitting the measurements.
